Episode #023 covers three "A Major," Sweep Picking licks. The first lick works on developing control with sweep picking technique. Two "Pattern #4" arpeggio shapes are used to develop control for up and down sweeping.
In lick two, we explore how to increase control for sweep picking using an ascending and descending sweep exercise across major and minor "Pattern #1" arpeggios.
The final lick works on applying the sweep picking concept within a melodic passage. Two sweep picked ideas are applied within a melody line in lick three to help players gain better control of inserting sweeps into a phrase.
