Open "G" Tuning

This weeks GuitarBlog explores the use of playing in,"Open G Tuning"

This week on the GuitarBlog we will cover the classic, "Mississippi Delta Blues Guitar," and, "Keith Richards," tuning of, "Open G." This tuning applies the following note pattern across the open string sets, (D, G, D, G, B, D). One unique aspect associated with this particular open tuning is the use of a note other than the root of the related open chord (G) as the lowest string's bass-note. In the video, we will take advantage of that with our chord patterns and with the progressions that we develop. Enjoy the video!
